Gross and weird question

I have my first ever urologist appointment tomorrow, basically painful urination and sex and it looks like a might have a cyst or growth idk that I have found after my appointment with a GP and before this one so it’s new info that I need to bring up. I got the call about an appointment yesterday I asked on the phone if there would be an issue since I have my period just now and due to the nature of it all and the receptionist was like “oh no that’s fine it’s just a consultation”

Everyone I’ve spoken to says the urologist would want to examine me, but will he still do that if I have my period? That would be gross, uncomfortable and just wrong lol. I don’t want to waste his time like idk
