On May 31st at 9pm I decided to go to L&D for on and off back pain and cramps. When the nurse checked my cervix I was 4.5 cm..I've been 4cm for over a week. But I kept telling myself that I'd rather have a doctor check me. An hour later the nurse comes back to check...contractions are closer together but she tells me that I haven't dilated anymore and that it's probably false labor. The doctor comes in to check and tells the nurse to check again...she says 6cm and he says no 8cm.

I was kind of glad I was already 8cm but scared since everything was happening so fast. Around 11 PM my water breaks and they checked the color and said the baby has pooped in the womb... I started crying not knowing if the baby was going to be alright and also because the contractions became unbearable. At this time I was already 9cm and the doctor told me I can still get an epidural if I wanted but i didn't want it. A little after midnight I had the urge to push...they told me not to because I was 9.5cm but I couldn't hold the push.

2 pushes later I had my beautiful healthy baby girl on June 1st at 12:19am 9lbs 20.5 inches (38 weeks 4 days)
