We are really young. We are both only in high school and it’s so stupid but I believed that we’d spend the rest of our lives together. We’ve only dated for a year. It was all perfect until his female best friend, who he had a crush on before dating me, who everyone think is a little bit too touchy, decided to “unintentionally” ruin our relationship.

I got my boyfriend something really special for his birthday. He decided to let her have it for a while because she asked for it. I was really hurt and we argued. He said “ I’m allowed to act however I want with my girl friends as long as it’s platonic.” But in my opinion, I think when you are taken, you should know there are certain lines you shouldn’t cross. I calmly talk to her about it then she decided to tell him I got very mad because of it and threatened to kill her. Whenever my boyfriend would touch her, she’d also yell “don’t touch me! You’re girlfriend will get jealous”.

So our relationship basically ended because he was tired of dealing with my jealousy. He didn’t want to choose between me and his female best friends because he’d choose her. He thought I was too clingy at times. And because we didn’t have too much in common.

I tried to reason with him I tried to stop the break up from happening but he told me very firmly that he was not going to change his mind.

I’m not going to lie, I still love him a lot. He was my first love and l don’t think I’ll never find someone as smart, affectionate, fun, caring, and as understanding as him. I really want him back and I’m devastated. I’ve been crying myself to sleep and last night I lied in bed and thought and thought about it then “ I wouldn’t mind death right now” just popped up and it was genuine. I don’t want to lose him. I don’t think I’ll ever find someone as amazing as him ever again.

Is there a chance I can get him back? How? Is he worth trying to get back? Have you ever thought that you were never going to find someone like your partner again and did you eventually?
