My family and I might wrongfully get evicted. Is there anyway to fight it if we do?

Some background:

My grandma and I have lived at these apartments for 12 years now, and my husband has lived here three. We never had a problem until a new owner bought the apartments. The office and staff do not know what they are doing. When we call for mainteance, they will either never show up or tell us how to do things over the phone that we are not equip to do. The office has like four managers who are never on the same page.

Current Dilemma:

We paid our entire rent and utilities. Our balance showed we owe $0 for June. Our lease was up on June 1st. Well in May we went to the office and wanted to renew our lease for six months. However, one of the managers gave us the wrong lease that was for a year. We told her, and she said she would fix it for us. June rolls around, and she's trying to charge us a month to month fee of $160 which only happens if you don't renew your lease, but we did. We had 5 days to pay it. The first two days we went to the office to try and settle this problem, and no one was there because they had a staff meeting all day both days. The other two days their computer was down, and the woman told us she couldn't fix anything with her computer down. We went over there today when the money is due to see if the computers are fixed, and one of the other managers are in there and said the one we have been dealing with won't be back until Monday, so we try telling her our problem. She said she doesn't know anything about that, and we'll have to wait until Monday. I told her we recieved a warning that we could be evicted if we don't pay the fee today and she swears we won't be since the other manager is not here, but with how unorganized these apartments are now, I want to know my options if we do recieve an eviction notice.
