I have twin boys and I’m trying to leave the cheating alcoholic father. Alcoholism is on of his claims with the VA is that enough to prove he is in fact an alcoholic. The police have been called several times and I’m usually pretty hysterical when they arrive. Not on purpose, but I have anxiety. by the time they arrive he’s already been yelling and getting on top of me to remove my belongings in front of my babies. We are living together and I stay in one room and he will not leave the room to avoid confrontation in front of them. He’s very cunning and pulls the veteran card with them and the police end up acting like his buddy. I don’t know what to do. I realize I need to leave the situation. No ifs and or butts and I am packing already, but I need to be careful.
