Strange lump, health concerns

The internet isn't very helpful as either it gives drastic results or irrelevant ones that don't make sense. I found a large lump on the inside of my upper thigh. Lower waste.. in the shower, it's painful to move my leg up a lot but otherwise it doesn't hurt. I'm really scared about it not sure if it could just be a pulled muscle or if I should be worried..? Don't really wanna go to the doctor if I don't have to. Any other women know what it could be..?
