Taking little one out of the house?

My baby girl has left our apartment twice since she came home from the hospital, both for doctors appointments. She is now 2 weeks 2 days old. When is it appropriate to take her to some place like Target or a restaurant? When did you take your little ones out and where did you go or are you still waiting?

I took my to a restaurant and church at 5 days old. He is now 3 weeks old and he has been pretty much everywhere

My lil man came with us to a brewery for his one week birthday lol. We’ve been out and about a lot and my doc said it’s perfectly fine as long as we’re not in a small over crowded area.

I took my little one out by day 3! She’s my second so I’m wayyy less paranoid. In fact we are going to a wedding tomorrow. We are just careful about people holding her and people touching her face. Lucky too it’s summer so it’s less worrisome about illnesses! 
I would take yours out anywhere they’ll be okay and fresh air will do you and them so good 😆 you can always wear them out in a wrap or carrier too if you’re worried about germs.

We take our LO on walks for fresh air, but there was a measles outbreak not far from here two weeks ago, so we avoid taking him to crowded places. Our ped said to wait till 6 weeks before we start taking him to the grocery store or to church etc.

As long as you're not in an area with some sort of high risk or recent outbreak you should be fine, my little one went on her first walk around the park and into town with daddy at less than 24 hours old lol and we've been out lots of times since

My son is 3 weeks old tomorrow and he’s already been to 2 grad parties, Walmart, 2 walks, and a few restaurants. We make sure people don’t touch his face and that they use hand sanitizer before holding him. I am concerned about him getting sick, but the way I see it is I can’t hold him up inside forever and his passive immunity is highest around this time so I see no point in not taking him anywhere.

We took out LO by 2 weeks. Just no loud or crowded places. I think as long as baby is covered and no one touches him, he’s fine.

I've done all sorts of things with my two week old - Groceries, errands, walks around the neighborhood, taken my older kids to the park, the kids' soccer practice, gone for ice cream... you get the point. I just baby wear so that no one touches him or gets in his face. Babies come, life goes on.

This is my second so we got out pretty quick. We took him to Target the day after he was born because I needed to grab my drugs on the way home. He went to Panera when he was 5 days old. My first went out for dinner when he was 1 week old.
