can you still suntan while pregnant? i wanna go to the beach i really need a tan but i’m nervous lol. i’m 29 weeks now, is there a certain time limit or should i just make sure i’m hydrated the whole time?

Yes you can still suntan while your pregnant. Just make sure you stay hydrated and just really read your body don't let yourself overheat. If your really worried about it take a shade break from the sun like every hour or so.

Your skin is just more sensitive during pregnancy, that’s why they don’t recommend it.... If you’re going to be in the sun make sure to not stay in it too long & wear sunscreen. If you really want a tan I would do a spray tan or a gradual tanning lotion you can put on such as Jergens!

Not only do you burn more easily, but the sun can trigger or worsen “melasma” in pregnancy which is dark pigmentation on your face, which I’m guessing is not a thing you want! I’d just get a spray tan.
The handbook our office gives out at the beginning of pregnancy with general dos and don’ts sums it up nicely: “tanning is not harmful to your pregnancy. Tanning does, however increase your risk for skin cancer”.

I usually tan so well. Ill go to the caribbean, no sunscreen just tanning lotion, and get sooo tan.

While pregnant? I sat outside for 20m in 70
Degree weather and FRIED. Be careful!

So yes, your skin is more sensitive when pregnant. However, vitamin D is extremely important in pregnancy and a lot of women have low levels without knowing. Spend at least 15 mins without sunscreen to allow your skin to soak up the vitamin D, then sit under a shade and put on sunscreen. Stay cool and hydrated and you will be good :)

I tan the second I step outside and I’m allergic to straight sunscreen 🤷🏻‍♀️ I went tanning for a few hours like two weeks ago (26+5 now) and as long as I used tanning oil I didn’t burn. You do burn easier though. I never had any issue with burning before but my shoulders burned bc I didn’t really put tanning oil directly on them. But so did my husband and he doesn’t burn either so it could’ve been bc we’ve been vampires for a year, too

I burn a lot easier but my midwife suggests spending at least 20 minutes a day in the sun sans sunblock to help my itchy skin.

You should honestly limit the time you spend in the sun while pregnant. Your skin is much more sensitive. It can burn pretty badly even if you normally tan and not burn. It’s not really suggested while pregnant.
