Short background. My wedding is this September so I don’t have much time to plan. Got proposed to last week. My fiancé is in the military and is currently in a different state. My parents are paying for the entire wedding. Our “final” (or so I thought) guest list was at 155. Since then his mom has added more people on it for a grant total of 174 people. I keep sending hints saying “ok here’s our ABSOLUTE final number”. But she isn’t taking the hint. Mind you, my fiancé doesn’t know a lot of the people she’s adding just that they’ve probably known him as a baby. She’s in charge of sending me addresses. She has sent me another 5 peoples addresses that aren’t on my final guest list. My fiancé said to not even add them and just ignore it but I also don’t want to upset his mother. I’m going crazy over here and stressing out so much. Part of me feels like I’m overreacting and should just add the extra people to make her happy but the other part of me thinks it’s ridiculous because she’s not paying for any of it so why should she be able to add them? Any tips on how to go about this?
