Is it wrong for me (14yrs.) to date an 18 yr old?

There's this guy I see multiple times a week at a local place in my town and I find him very attractive and he's a Christian and he's a really good guy plus our dads are friends. I like a lot of things about him and I actually think he might have at least a little interest back. my mom isn't okay with this tho. I'm sorta upset about it.

Illegal illegal illegal. I can't stress this enough. I'm all for love and living your life but my God, you are way too young to be with him. I don't care if he's really hot or whatever, your mom is always going to have your best interest and the last thing you want to do is lose her trust. Listen. To. Your. Mother. You have your entire adult life to date other adults. You need to focus on finding you, loving you, figuring out what you want to be and how you're going to do it. You have a lot to learn at fourteen. Trust me, I learned the hard way.

Guys that are older than you by that much will take advantage of you. He is too mature for you. There's a reason it's illegal for them to have  sex with you. Because they are old enough to manipulate someone your age.
