Cervix check??

I have my 34 week appointment next Tuesday then my weekly appointments following that , at what point will they start actually examining my lady bits to check for dilation and effacement????

My doctor will start at 36 weeks but I’m having a c section when I’m 39 weeks and I’m refusing to get it checked since it’s my fourth c section.

My doctor checked me at my 36 week appointment this week! Along with the strep b swab!

Depends on your provider. My OB for my first did it a lot. My midwife now says only after 40 weeks or if I request it. She said it isn’t very predictive anyway so not worth the discomfort.

My doctor starts at 37 weeks 😬 I hate getting checked and I have 2 weeks until it happens 😩

I was 35 1/2 last appointment, my NP offered it but I figured it was too early to justify the discomfort. I see my Dr. next week, but not sure if I'll get it then. I'd say 37+ weeks as a preference unless there's good reason to beforehand.
