Is it weird for the wife to have a silver band and the husband have a gold one?

My fiancé and I have different taste and he wants a gold ring and I want a silver. Would it be okay or weird?

The bands don't really matter much imo. It's the reason you're wearing them at that matter. My husband and I don't have matching bands.

Doesn’t matter as long as you both like the rings you wear.
I wear a yellow gold band that used to be my mum’s while she was married to my dad. 
We also have different skin tones - I am a natural redhead so I’m very fair and he has a much darker tone than me and to be honest neither of us think silver/ gold/ white gold rings suit him. 
I got him a brushed tungsten ring with black details and it looks great on him. So yeah, ours are pretty different!

No, I have white gold bands because I don't care for yellow gold, my husband has a gold band. He doesn't even wear his gold one anyway because it's too small. He wears the rubber ones now anyway lol.

My husband and I have 2 completely different rings. I have a thin gold ring from pandora (no engagement ring. Just a diamond band) and he has a thick black stainless steel he got online for £7/$9 😂
