37 weeks is full term with twins, not 40 weeks. Most twins are born around 37-38 weeks. Most doctors will not let a twin pregnancy carry past 38 weeks, for medical reasons. 
So no, that’s un true. Most twins reach full term. I was induced at exactly 37 weeks with my twins.
