How do you guys split the chores with your significant other?

We do everything pretty evenly. I do a little more but it's just because I like things a certain way and I don't mind. But most of the time I don't have to ask for help, he'll just start the dishes or keep up the apartment. Which I appreciate so much, we're pregnant with our second baby and we both work full time. He says we're a team and both make messes. Not saying there's a right or wrong way of doing it, everyone is different. Just wondering how people do it.

My husband is NEVER “helping” me with chores. He’s doing what’s expected of any adult who lives in a house. I don’t say he “helps” me and when he’s used that phrase I corrected him and he no longer uses that phrase. He doesn’t “help”, it’s his responsibility as much as it is mine.

We have this unsaid understanding that whomever is home and has the time will do what needs to be done for the day.

i’m a stay at home mom and handle most of the daily chores while he’s at work, but when he comes home he will do laundry, cook, or help clean up dinner, and take care of the babes. he usually does a lot of the housework on the weekends. we don’t really have any set schedule, just kinda whoever gets around to doing it. if he needs help with something he asks, and if i need extra help with something i ask. never really been a problem for us.

We both work full time but I do more overtime and as I’m in management, my job is more demanding/ stressful. I am usually more drained than him so he tends to do a little bit more than me around the home but we have certain jobs that we each do and the rest we do together
Few examples - I’m a better cook and I don’t like anyone touching my car so I’m the one that cleans it. I have a thing about floating debris in dishwater touching me 🤢 so he does the dishes. We share pet-duty so one time I will clean out their cage and wash their toys/ bowls and he will bathe them and then the next time we will swap

Things get split pretty evenly, though I'll admit, I do more than him, but that's okay, because I don't mind. I was dishes, he puts them away. I wash/fold/hang laundry, he puts it all away. I mow the backyard, he mows the front. He takes the trash out, I vacuum. It's taken us almost 17 years to get to this point.

I do the inside. Hes a slob tbh. Drives me nuts. He does the litterbox, takes out the trash, then does the outside stuff like mow the lawn, landscaping, snowblowing, leafblowing. He makes the outside look beautiful but the guy cant seem to properly put his dirty clothes in his hamper and they end up on the floor next to it 🙄. Hes lucky i love him haha

Right now he works a crazy amount of hours & I’m not working. I’d prefer to be working, but we moved across the country & I can’t get hired at 8 months pregnant. I’ve tried. I do the housework & when he’s home, he will help with whatever I need (can’t do, can’t reach). He does the yard/garage work & he works on the cars. He has also been putting together the furniture for the baby’s room.

I do most of them, he just randomly does a bit sometimes.🙄 the thing he helps me out the most with is making meals. He is a better cook than I am.
