I’m on the birth control pill and I took an ovulating test to see if my birth control was working or not and I got this result indicating I’m fertile. So my question is, does this mean my birth control isn’t working right? I need help!!

birth control with no estrogen means it can’t prevent ovulation, & with estrogen it prevents ovulation. So if you’re taking a pill that’s low dose most likely no estrogen and that’s why you’re able to ovulate. Again it doesn’t mean YOU can get pregnant, the pill thickens your vagina mucus which prevents the sperm from entering, and gives the egg and harder time to stick to your uterus lining!

Not necessarily. A flashing smiley isn't a positive result, just means it's close. Ovulation tests test for LH and while your body will have high levels of LH when you ovulate, high LH levels alone are not a guarantee of ovulation. People with PCOS often have high levels of LH without ovulating, but others can also sometimes have the same.
