My son is 7 weeks and I noticed during his diaper change just now that there’s a little goopy yellow circle in his belly button.

His umbilical cord fell off a while ago (around 2 weeks) and everything was looked at by his pediatrician at that time and she said to just keep dabbing it with alcohol until it completely dried out inside.

I wonder why this goop appeared again? Will have it checked by dr. Just want to know if anyone else had this experience before? Did you just keep dabbing with alcohol until it dried

Btw the goop is “contained” inside the belly button. It’s not dripping or anything it looks like it’s hard but if you touch it it’s soft. I hope it’s not infected.
