Peeling birth mark?

My 7mo old was born with this dark birth mark, and over the past month I've noticed it getting dried out, unlike the rest of her skin. Today it feels really rough and is starting to peel. As a ftm I'm not sure what's normal. Anyone seen this before or know if it is a cause for concern?

Yes I would be concerned. Was it a mole type of birth mark or was is just different skin pigmentation?

Idk if it's a concern or not but discoloration tends to be more than just a difference of color. Discolored skin tends to be more sensitive and it could be that the skin is reacting to something or is more sensitive to drying out than the rest of himself
