Giving baby water for constipation?

My baby suffers from reflux and when we saw the dr at 6 weeks for it he said we could give him cooled boiled water - he was slightly dehydrated from the reflux.
It’s also recommended on the nhs website for constipated babies.

My babys pediatrician recommended 1oz of prune apple juice or karo syrup. It takes my baby around 24hrs to have a BM hes not constipated but he does take a few days to have a BM. When he does its lime a bomb gone off in his diaper.

Ask for pediatrician recommendations. How hard are her poops?

Speak to your doctor to see what they recommend. 
Our baby shriveled with this for the first 2 months. Were eventually were allowed by our doc to give him 0.5oz prune juice mixed with 0.5oz water  that helped a lot. We also give him a daily probiotic which helps too.

I’ve given my baby a little water for constipation before and it helped. She doesn’t like the flavor yet, so I make a diluted bottle (1 scoop of formula and 4oz of water). That way she’s tasting formula but getting some more water in there too.
