Present from the newborn to oldest?

What did you get your oldest as a present from your newborn? I would like to do this but have no ideas other than “big ticket” items we’ve thought about for birthday and Christmas. The kid has evrrything she needs and if one more stuffed animal enters this house I just might dispatch them all!

I think it’s kind of silly that this has become a thing...kinda like push presents. But that’s neither where nor there...
One idea, depending on the older ones age, is a baggie with activity/coloring books, play-doh, puzzles. Something for them to do while you are at the hospital and they are away from you. Then they can also use them while you are at home spending a little more time with baby.

We did do anything. I had him get his little sister a little blanket to bring and then forgot. Your child will be fine and live if they don’t get a gift! They will just be excited to see you and the baby that’s their gift!

I don’t think this is necessary but you could make them a little care package for when you’re in hospital like some colouring books a new cup with lid etc when I was in hospital with my last my girls wanted to drink my ice water lol so I’ll get them each a cool portable cup anything that keeps them occupied is good too

Dont do it. The only thing I remember when my brother was born was the barbie my parents bought me. Make the experience about the new baby and not a toy.

Omg I feel the same way lol, my daughter has everything and more.  But my daughter loves baths! So I was just thinking of doing a little gift bag with some bubble bath, kid friendly bath bombs, one or two of those like wash clothes that expand with water and a new towel. Being like “look! You’re new baby brother knows you so well!” Lol. But idk, she’s four so she has a grasp of what’s happening so idk if it’s even necessary.

It’s not really a present for my daughter but I got her a big sister shirt that matches her baby sisters onsie. She is 3 so if I make a big deal out of her shirt and tell her it’s her, “Big Sister” shirt she’ll be thrilled.
