Two weeks later:

Mason and I walk down the side walk hand in hand.

So what do you want to do tonight? He asks me.

Anything that involves you. I smile.

He laughs. Hmm really? He rises his eyebrows up and down looking at me.

Weirdo. I laugh.

He smiles and wraps his arm around my shoulder.

How about a movie? He suggests.

Nah we can’t talk to each other if we see a movie. I answer.

Right. Umm he thinks again.

Oh I know what I want to do, I say looking back up at him.

I want to see your old house! You know the house you lived in before you moved in with us.

Oh um ok. He laughs you sure? It’s really nothing to exciting.

Yep I’m positive!

Ok follow me. He takes my hand.

He leads me to the national park where we flew off the cliff. We walk through the park in silence.

He suddenly cuts off the path into the forest. He pulls out his phone and turns on the flash light.

You were really hidden weren’t you? I say taking his hand.

Ya. He answers. I had to stay as far away from the Normans as possible to stay safe.

I sigh. Do you think 10 years in jail is to long?

I nod.

Why, are you worried about him?

No, I just feel like that is too much you know? I mean it’s not like he killed anyone.

Hannah if you weren’t there and if he had just caught me alone. He would’ve killed me, it’s part of being apart of the Normans, if you escape and they catch you again. They will kill you.

Your saying he has killed people? I ask nervously.

Ya unfortunately...he says squeezing my hand a little.

We keep walking for a little longer till he turns to me. Hannah please don’t worry about him. We did the right thing, if you didn’t stop him more people would have died and he would still be out there.

I sigh. Your right. I nod.

We walk a little longer.

How far away is this place?

Not to far. He walks a few more steps then turns to me. We’re here!

I look around. All I see is trees and brush.

Umm you sure we are in the right spot?

Yep he says pulling another bush up in the air. Under the bush was a stair case.

He laughs. Ya I had a lot of spare time, Ladies first!
