Do they use a Doppler at ten weeks

Does the prenatal check ups here the heart beat at ten weeks I had my eight week ultrasound

My doctor didn’t until 13 weeks

Sorry for all the comment but I did some very quick research so I thought I’d share. They can start to pick it up with Doppler between 10-12 weeks. Sometimes they don’t do it that early because they may not always pick it up but it doesn’t mean something is wrong with baby so they probably don’t want to freak you out. I remember when they first did it with me they did warn me that they may or may not be able to pick it up at that point so that I wouldn’t worry. I think it just varies person to person and baby’s position.

I honestly can’t really remember when they start doing that but I think it’s a little later than 10 weeks. I think it takes a little longer to be able to find the heartbeat from the outside without an ultrasound. Maybe 12 weeks or so or a little further. I could be totally wrong though 😊
