She's here πππ
My waters broke 9th September around 3:30am. Went to the hospital and all was clear however I didn't have any contractions for this reason I was sent home until my contractions kicked in. Around 1:30pm that afternoon I started having lil contractions but wasn't so mild, went back to the hospital and I was only 1-2cm dilated ππ. ... and got sent back home again, only this time midwife gave me clear instructions to help speed up my labour. She said I needed to dance, jump up and down and go for long distance walks....sorry whose going to be dancing and jumping up and down when they are in painπ, certainly not me. But I did go for walks around my area which helped to speed up my contractions. Went back to the hospital around 5/6pm. Got checked again and I was 5cm dilated and was admitted to the birthing centre for labour around 7pm. Labour wasn't has easy as I thought it would be. Honestly even if I had read so many blogs about it, rest assured everyone has their own individual experiences of their labour and not everyone may necessarily have the same experience as others. I certainly didn't, I had it in mind that my labour would be painfree and quick but in reality it wasn't. My labour lasted for 7hrs 30mins, in reality this felt like forever. ..was in so much pain as though my body was on fire, that's how much it hurt. But the beauty about it was that as I was 10cm fully dilated and ready to push my baby girl out it felt so much easier and less painful. My baby girl arrived the following day early morning at 12:43am on Thursday 10th of September (exactly six days before my birthdayπ). She is such a bundle of joy but hard work. After giving birth to her I had a second degree tear abd my placenta decided to get stuck for 2hrsπ; I bled alot, according to doctors I lost 1.1litres of blood and was close to having a blood transfusion. Thank the Lord Almighty I didn't need this transfusion at the endπ’. I'm so thankful to God for sending the right team at the hospital who knew exactly what they were doing and treated me so well.
I'm also soooo thankful to God for giving me an incredible and beautiful gift; my baby gi. I look forward to each stages of her development.
