Why did my body wake me up?

Question

37 weeks along, my body woke me up around 6am... I went to bed at 3am. I didn't have to pee too bad, I had a bit of heartburn, but other than that WHY on earth did it wake me up? I can't fall back asleep!!!! It's my bday, my gift to myself was going to be to sleep in!! Any ideas as to what my body was trying to tell me? Come on man...

This happens to me too. I think it's our bodies preparing us to to wake frequently to feed our new bundles of joy

I'm 38 weeks (tomorrow). And I wake up every 3 hours on the dot. Body is just preparing us for baby!

It happens to me all the time. I know pregnancy insomnia is a thing? I get terrible sleep now. It's just another perk of creating life!

I wake up frequently through out the night almost every night, it's been going on for a couple weeks now, Iam 37w5d.

My girl kicks a lot and will wake me or it could be you moved wrong and something hurt. I have sciatica and that will wake me when I move wrong.

It sucks right now I know but it will be easier when baby gets here. It's amazing that our bodies can anticipate when our newborns will want to nurse. Your body is teaching you about when your LO will be awake once you come home.

If I can sleep one hour uninterrupted I wake and feel like I slept all day 35, weeks. And I have a 13 month old so this drives me nuts
