So my husband told me that his older sister had smacked our eight month old last night because she was having a screaming fit but he wasn’t sure how hard or where because his other older sister told him. I had been at work all day and he was visiting them. He wouldn’t let me ring or text her to talk about it but said when I saw her next i can talk to her then.

My husband and I had agreed not to smack our children because we had been smacked as kids and we didn’t find it helpful because we eventually became immune the the fear of being smacked.

I find it so disgusting that another person would discipline my child or any other child by smacking them when you haven’t been told by the parents that smacking their is an acceptable form of punishment.

And !! She is 8 months old for the love of god! 8 months !! She’s tiny she barely understands the things that are happening around.
