Ectopic?

Question

Has anyone experienced an ectopic without a significant amount of pain? My hcg is rising but not by much and the doctor said she is not ruling out ectopic pregnancy. I haven't bled since Tuesday and I've had very light cramping on my right side. It's not even painful but is noticeable. I've accepted that this pregnancy is most likely not viable but I'm nervous about ectopic because I heard it can be bad if left untreated. Thoughts?

I too just found out we had an etopic pregnancy . @ 10 Weeks 😢. It's not the easiest need to deal with . Last night I was given the methotrexate so now I'm just waiting to experience the aftermath from the injection . It's very hard to deal with . I wish you luck and healing thoughts and prayers .

I had an ectopic. Absolutely no pain. I went to the dr only because my period came and lasted longer than normal. They took my blood and found I was pregnant so I was told to go to the ER. The doctor I saw said it could not possibly be an etopic pregnancy because I would be writhing in pain. They did a couple transvaginal ultrasounds and did not see anything so I went to another doctor for follow-up a day later who said the same thing- I would be in a lot of pain if that were the case and they would see it and an ultrasound. Since I was still having issues a few days later, the doctor did not have a good feeling in the pit of the stomach so decided to do exploratory surgery on me and found the etopic, which he said was the largest ectopic he had ever seen without bursting and believes the reason they missed it on the ultrasound was because they misstook it for an ovary. I could have died. His intuition saved my life.

Go see a dr for sure. You never know. Good luck!

If I remember correctly (a lot of it is a blur as you could imagine) I think I had the full pain for about a week before it became unbearable. But I had bleeding up to a week before that even. Ive heard that these situations are very individual and very unexplained unfortunately. :/ The doctors never could tell me why it happened, I'll never have that closure of knowing "why" but we are moving forward with IVF now and hoping for the best.

I had an ectopic in July. I spotted in the morning and felt discomfort by afternoon, strangely on one side i.e. left. Couldn't identify it as pelvic pain. It was more like gas in the abdomen but uncomfortable enough that I went to the hospital. I didn't even know I was pregnant since I had a period just 10 days before. The pregnancy test came out positive though. Nothing was found in the uterus during ultrasound. A subsequent ultrasound showed some mass in the left tube. I had spotting for about 10 days after this and was finally given an MTX shot since it was not resolving on its own. I didn't have any other pain. The doctor told me I was six weeks along.

I had two ectopic pregnancies back to back and both started with bleeding and light cramping on a specific side after awhile the pain became sharper and worse to the point that I was crippled and in tears (emergency room status) The embryo if stuck in your Fallopian tube is growing which means that it's gradually stretching your tiny Fallopian tube. If you wait to long your Fallopian tube could burst and could possibly be life threatening. Don't wait. Go in and get it checked out adapt so you don't have to land in the emergency room.

I was in for my 8 week ultrasound when they didn't see a baby in my uterus. My Hcg was at 3700. They gave me the chemo drug and sent me home. I didn't experience any extreme pain of very little discomfort. This is my second pregnancy and I did have brown spotting at week 5 which my dr checked my levels and gave me a progesterone supplement. I knew this pregnancy was different from my first but assumed that every pregnancy is different. The most comforting thing is that there was not a heartbeat which lets me know the baby would not have survived even if it would have made it out of the tube. Going to try again in 3 months, after this drug gets out of my body. Healing hugs to everyone that has gone through this.

I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy 3 weeks ago and had the mtx shot. I would have been 6 weeks pregnant when I had the shot and had NO pain at all. I started bleeding at 4 weeks and continued to spot on an off until i had the shot. I have bled continuously since I had the shot and have had cramping the past week. My hug never got any higher than 280, and 3 weeks later I'm down to 96.

I have the same thing. More discomfort on my right side with on and off bleeding. My hcg level dropped but then is rising again. Went for scan today again as I am being closely monitored and they (I had to drs) believe they saw a sac near right ovary. It's hard to tell cause I have a large (5 cm) cyst on right ovary. I just got my dose of methotrexate today to ensure my safety.
