Pumping to induce labor?

I’m curios what your’s and your doctor’s opinion on this is!

I don’t think I would, personally. Your body will release the necessary hormones after baby is born to start the milk production 😊

I havent talked to my doctor but my opinion is to absolutely not do it. Theres too many risks to baby by having contractions come on too hard which cause their heart rate to drop.

Not to do it unless you’re 40 weeks. I asked with my first. I researched it a bunch, it will work. Just it’s not safe unless medically necessary to induce labor before 40weeks.

My labor and delivery class Saturday said not to pump before delivery because it can cause early contractions and it's not safe to try to speed up labor. They said to allow baby to come when baby is ready.

If you’re close to your due date or over, go for it. Try to soon though and it might just give you super uncomfortable and unproductive contractions.
