Jobs? Money?

Question

I want to be a photographer, I love it, and I would love to study it in college and become one but I heard the pay is not that great... and I also love money, I love spending money and getting lots of it so this is kinda of a issue. What should I do? Find a new major orrrr idk

Ok, here’s the thing: most of photographers are self-employed. And if done right, it can earn you a decent income. There are good things about that and not do good things. 
The good things are: you keep all the money, you decide when, where and with whom you want to work, you put the price on your product, you do things your way. 
Bad things are: you have to be an actual worker, a salesman, an accountant, a designer, a market specialist, customer service, etc; taxes are about 30% since you have to pay full SS and Medicare tax yourself; you are dependent on the market; you still have to deal with assholes; the whole thing depends on you. 
What I would do, I would get a major in business to know how to actually build and run a business (and avoid the whole try-and-error way of learning) and minor in photography because like all art skills, it mainly takes practice. All 4 years in college you can practice and get better as well as leaning more about technical aspects of photography (and art) and business. 
Some people don’t understand that to actually make money with your talent, you need to learn what it takes to run a business.
