Hemorrhoid prescription?

So I've been dealing with painful hemorrhoids for the past 3 weeks. Nothing works, tucks, prep-h, baths. It takes the pain away for little bit but not much. I was in tears last night because of them.

Doctor prescribed a prescription but insurance won't pay and 60 bucks! If it works I'm completely ok with paying that but if its just going to be like everything else I've taken I'd rather not waste the money.

Anyone else get a prescription and it actually worked?
