So I’m getting a bit frustrated because everyone keeps making comments about how my soon to be 16 mo isn’t talking yet. He understands almost everything follows directions but isn’t doing much but babbling on and off. I contacted his pediatrician already who put a referral in for him for speech but I’m still worried he will never talk:( he says dada and dog and we think maybe duck but duck and dog kinda sound the same at times. We are struggling with keeping his paci out of his mouth and I know that can cause kids not to talk but idk what else I’m supposed to do I try and talk to him as much as I can. I read to him. He likes music and will dance and hum... is there something more I can be doing or is anyone else have a toddler whose not talking yet?? I feel so alone on this and everyone in our family feels the need to keep telling me it’s my fault he’s not talking
