38+5 & 3cm dilated!

So I went in for a membrane sweep yesterday and doctor was shocked that I’m 3cm dilated already! She said I could get induced today if I wished to😱

I was so shell shocked that she backed off and said I can take my time until Friday 😆 So after having doc’s hand up inside me I was awfully crampy for the rest of the day, I actually thought it was mild contractions? But they’re completely gone now. Is this normal?

Also, just the doctor’s hand poking inside my vagina was so painful on my perineum, what’s a full HEAD gonna feel like??? Definitely leaning more towards an epidural now 😭 Does the gas actually help with the pain? IM SO NERVOUS GUYS! If my water doesn’t break before Friday I’ll be getting induced!
