Just need to vent

So my boyfriend and i broke up yesterday and i was understanding but confused he broke up with me because his dad isnt in the condition to work like he cant leave his house because he had brain damage a year ago and hus moms health is going down hill too his older brother is moving out so he said its his turn to step up and start to work to support his family and thats its best we breakup because he wouldnt have time for me.today his friend posted a snap chat story of him at her house they were watching something on the tv and then later on she posted another one of them having a water balloon fight so i then decided to take action and texted him “Hey, can you explain to me your mental process in which you decided the right thing for you was to break up with me because I am still kinda confused about it and all i need is closure” he responded with more nonsense and then finally said that he felt like he was taking care of a child (me) and i was so mad because i acted like a child because he told me he liked it and found it cute but i was mature when i had to be and i told him not to push me away that i can help him my step dad died in march 23,2019 and eddie(my bf) was with me the whole time asking me not to push him away and to keep him close that he could help me so i did as he asked and i asked for the same in return all i got was a “dont you dare compare my problems to yours” at the end of a whole paragraph but he compares his problems to mines im so confused hes 16 im 14 soon to be 15 and he said that this isnt a goodbye thats its a hello to a new friendship he wants to be friends and idk what to do i have my mom and others telling me to forget him but i have others telling me to just be kind and be there for him and if he wants to get back together not let him come back easily make him work for it and im just confused my energy is totally drained and all i want to do is rollup into a ball and cry but i want advice on what i should do...........
