Initially long-distance relationships...

I’ve been talking to this guy off/on for nearly 4 years, but we’ve never met. Basically, we’re just pen-pals though we did want to meet face-to-face years ago when we lived closer to one another.

Now, we’re 3000 miles apart, but we really started to take off talking to one another romantically over the last few months. Everything is so consistent and incredible between us, and we pair up really well in personality, conversation, and the mutual interest and fascination with one another. That being said, we’ve decided that within the year, we want to finally meet face-to-face (in an open, mutual setting).

My inquiry is: Have any of y’all dealt with such a pen-pal-turned-romantic relationship? If so, how’d it turn out/what advice could you give?

Thanks! :)
