TCA Chemical Peel? (Facial opinions)

Hey girls! So I’ve been thinking of giving myself a little makeover for my 18th Birthday (which is on 3 July).

I’ve been struggling with acne for the past 4 years or so, and it’s constantly leaving dark spots on my face (pigmentation).

I’m not sure If a chemical peel is the best thing to do, but I’ve really wanted to try one. My mother is against anything chemical but she asked me to make some calls and check on the procedures and prices so she is finally started to accepting the idea.

Did you have any experiences with chemical peels? Can you suggest me an alternative treatment with similar or better effects? I have to arrange ASAP because I’ll be peeling off skin for 7 days minimum so I need to make sure I won’t be peeling on my birthday.
