I’m curious which IUD you have/had and what you thought of it. Let me know your thoughts.

I had the 3 year implanon and it lasted 8 years 🤦‍♀️ I didn't have it removed bc I was terrified and didn't think it would hurt anything since I could still feel it in place. Doc said they last way longer than they say

I had the Liletta a few years ago and didn’t like it because I had light bleeding/heavy spotting for about 2 weeks of every month. It was as if my period got very light but VERY long. This lasted for about 8 months until I got it removed.

I got the mirena a week ago for the first time. No pain. Only minor cramping here and there and very light spotting. I expect the spotting to disappear and if all remains the same, I think I like it!

I’ve had the Mirena before and it was a love/hate relationship. I now have the Liletta. I’ve only had it for a week though so can’t really add any input on it. With the Mirena I had it expel itself l. Had a new one placed in and then I kept getting BVs. After that I went off of it for 6 months and had another placed in and never had an issue with it after that.

I just got the paragard because I’m dealing with low milk supply. I know that they technically say the hormones shouldn’t affect you, but I didn’t want to risk it. I haven’t had my period yet so I can’t say, but I was warned that some women have bad cramps.

I had the Mirena before I got pregnant with me April baby. Didn't work well for me. I loved that I didn't have any periods but it was impossible for me to lose weight. First couple of weeks I was an emotional mess. I probably had issues with weight because I have hypothyroidism...so since I already have issues related to hormones, the small dose of hormones in the Mirena probably what made it really hard to lose weight. I'm going to try the Paraguard this time around since it doesn't have hormones. I just wish there was a chance it would make my periods disappear like Mirena did 😭

I had the 1st mirena from 2011-2016 and second one from 2016-2018. In 2018 I had to remove the second one. I started to get my period which was weird since I didn’t get one since 2011. I was getting really bad cramps. Turns out mirena had moved into the cervix and was trying to expel itself out. Other than that I loved it before I started to have those issues.

I am getting my second Mirena next week. I loved my first one - no periods and just slight cramping for about two weeks after I got it. After that, I never even thought about it. So low maintenance.

This is my second time getting the Mirena and I really like the convenience of it but I bleed for 6 weeks after I get it put in. After that, it’s great but really annoying for the first 6 weeks.
