anyone else have late ovulation?

Has anyone else consistently ovulated late (between days 20-30) and have between 35-40 day cycles? If so, what did your doctor say about this? Mine wants to start me on Clomid and I’m unsure of whether or not I trust this being the correct decision. I’m pretty sure I’ve ovulated every month based on my OPKs, just a little later than average.

Following this for responses. My cycles have varied from 26 days to 38 day, but mainly are around 30-34. I’ve not yet been to my GP. I came off my pill in October. I do wonder if I’m ovulating, last month ran out of opk tests on day 20, however I had clear skin through the entire month - some months my skin is awful! I don’t feel there is anything consistent. This is my first month temping!

I just read a comment on someone else's post regarding irregular cycles and they said their OB said they ovulate late in their cycles which means hormones can plummet and not make for a viable pregnancy when ovulating late. They tested her after her late ovulation and her progesterone was low that cycle. They are putting her on clomid to try and ovulate "sooner". This makes so much more sense to me now because my OB also commented that he was suspecting I ovulate late and wants more testing done - possibly eventually clomid - but I was like wait at least I ovulate! Isn't clomid for those who don't? But I should've asked more questions and now I'm realizing I should've trusted to do more testing to see if maybe I have low progesterone with late ovulation, etc. Hope that helps.
