Help please!!! ASAP

Ok I’m 14 and I’ve never been able to use a tampon before. I’m going to the beach with my friend and her family and I’m going to be swimming. I’ve already gotten the smallest tampons (lightest) and ob ones. Is there any smaller tampons or things to make them easier(I can’t get them in) I need help we leave Friday!!!
