I anxiously awaited this appointment but the doctor put me at ease immediately offering the ultrasound before all the chit chat! Baby is good. 158bpm 10w3d. Due Jan 5! We opted for genetic testing (Cell Free DNA) and will know gender soonish! 🥰

UPDATE: decided not to do genetic testing because the company that was recommended has terrible reviews and I don’t wanna deal with it. It’s called Counsyl Prelude Prenatal Scan. They told me it’d be $350 but I just spent 2 hours reading horror stories that it’s convinced us to NOT do it.

I’m not doing the screening anymore. Just read terrible reviews. I updated my post. Lol. The info I gave you is most likely wrong. Sorry!

Mine will be $350 which is the cost of it from what I understand. some insurances do cover it though, and it’s also based on your age and risk factor. I opted for it even though it wasn’t covered.

How long did they say it would take to get the genetic testing results back? I’m getting my testing tomorrow.

They said test results are typically in within a 2-3 weeks!
