How do you guys celebrate your kids birthday?

I have 2 kids with this guy and our youngest is turning 1. This will be my first time celebrating one of our kids birthday while us not being together.

i don’t really like to talk or even see him just because he is someone whose toxic to me mentally.

But is almost a good dad, he tries.

I am throwing my daughter a birthday party (with no help from him bc i refused to accept because he can’t come) which has reason behind it.

Anyways, i feel bad and want him to see her on his birthday. But i also want to spend time with her on the actual day of her birthday too, but i feel that would be selfish of me.

Would it be okay to let him have her half the day of her actual birthday ..
