I was diagnosed at 14 with PCOS. Never had periods on my own, always had to use the pill to start my period.

Met my now husband when I was 20 and we started trying for a baby not long after. Took my nexplanon implant out in June of 2017. From June 2017 to January 2018 I didn’t have a single period. In January 2018 I FINALLY got my first period. I had been drinking premama but I can’t for sure say if that was the reason or not. Nothing came from that period.

We went to see my OB at the end of January and she ran a bunch of tests, everything came out fine. So we started progesterone for 5 months. Got a period every month, used ovulation tests. Nothing.

In June and July of 2018 we tried clomid. I ovulated in June on Father’s Day, and nothing in July. Doctor decided to refer me to a fertility specialist in the office for more extensive treatment.

We took a break from August till December of that year for financial reasons. In December 2018 we went to the fertility specialist and she prescribed metformin. Was told it should help start my period by January. That didn’t happen. In February of 2019 we went back to the office and set up a plan. We were to use progesterone to start my period and then use Femara to induce ovulation.

Period started on February 23rd. Used Femara from days 3-7. Confirmed ovulation via ultrasound on March 11th. Received my BFP on March 26th ❤️ currently 15 weeks and 5 days. Took a total of 21 months for us. A lot of tests, a lot of heartache and a lot of money. But I wouldn’t change it for the world.
