My boyfriend/baby daddy have been together about 10 years, we have 2 babies together. We just moved into a new house. The biggest downfall in our relationship the entire time is the fact that he's a huge Mama's boy. They have joint bank accounts. Their reasoning is because if she ever passes away he has access to her money.. like that's what a will is for. 🙄🙄🙄 His mom is single and texts my bf all day long and tries to know everything about our relationship, etc. I recently went to lunch with her and she made it a point that she is fighting to get closer to her son like she was before him and I started dating and "nobody will get in the way of that." 😠 I finally convinced my boyfriend to get a joint bank account with me to pay for our new house bills. But he's fighting to keep his old joint accounts with his mom and still keeps all of his money in there. Every time I go to the grocery store or need to pay a bill he just venmo's me so I can put it in our account. I'm so annoyed. I'm a stay at home mom and don't like feeling like I don't have money unless he can venmo me the exact amount as I'm about to check out somewhere. I wish his mom would back the fuck up and let him and us live our own lives. But he's not really fighting for that either.. just overwhelmed, annoyed, feeling underappreciated and underloved.
