Long period

Today is September 27, I have been on my period since July 31st. Doctor says its normal and not to worry. I'm beginning to be very worried. I would like to have kids some day and I'm afraid now that I won't. If this has happen to you please share your experiences with me and if you went back to normal or conceived after.
