Bleeding during sex

Yesterday while we were having sex straight after he fingered me I started bleeding really heavily, it definitely wasn’t period blood but before that it was really hurting my cervix which doesn’t usually happen, I was thinking he could have cut me or it’s something to do with the pain. Has anyone ever experienced this before or what do you think it could be?
