Plus Size and C section
So I had my 34 week appointment today and I’ve been seeing different doctors in the hospital so that I’ve met them all. Well anyway, the doctor that I just met seems to be pretty obsessed with shoving the idea of a C section down my throat because of my weight.
I’ve had a very very healthy pregnancy for both me and my baby. My starting weight was around 272 and as of today I am 286, which I read was pretty normal. At no point has my weight been brought up as an issue for any of my other doctors I’ve met with.
The first rime I met with her was 2 weeks ago and I had noticed that my weight was around 296, and with me staying around the 284-287 range that these last couple weeks that was really troubling. Except for the fact that around that time I was really bloated and had bad swelling. After seeing my weight we both determined it was most likely water weight smh.
But at today’s appointment it was mostly focused a lot on me possibly having a C section and that sounds like a pretty scary thing for me as a 23 year old FTM. I’ve been trying to stay pretty active, I walk even when I truly don’t want to but I know I could probably do more.
If anyone has any experience or advice or suggestions, I’m very open to hearing them!
