Why did my boyfriend (not) react to this?

Hey guys! My boyfriend and I have been dating for 7 months. We’re 20 years old and lost our virginities to each other. All is great in our sex life so far, except two things

1) he is SO quiet. Like he makes no noise. I want him to say things like you’re so hot or this feels really good or SOMETHINg But he’s just QUIET. I always say those things and he just makes no response. It just make me feel like he doesn’t like me/the sex

2) this is really the main point of my question is to ask about this incident. I discovered that I like it when my guy is rough with me. And I want him to be even rougher. I tried to hint at that by, After we finished having sex a few days ago, saying to him “it’s really sexy when you’re rough with me.”

He literally had no response. He just like kissed my forehead and then we both went to sleep.

Do you think I weirded him out?? Ugh I just wish he was more vocal about his likes/dislikes sexually. I’m the one that does all the moaning and “this feels good” and “I like it when...” etc

Whenever I ask during sex if he is enjoying it he’s just like “yeah” and keeps going

What should I do about this?
