Anyone else have a colicky baby?

I'm going out of my mind!!! Any tips to help soothe?

My son isn't colliky but is very gassy. We took him to see a chiropractor and it actually helped a bit. We also use oval religiously.

Babywearing!!!!!!! My baby had colic at exactly 6pm every night until she was 4 months old. And then she just grew out of it. Trust me, it does end. Every baby grows out of it between 3-4 months.

But in the meantime, putting my daughter in the Ergo with a pacifier and walking around always calmed her down and put her to sleep. Give it a try. It was life-changing for me.

Find the full video of The Happiest Baby on the Block on YouTube because I'm sure you don't have time to read :) It has a lot of useful information on colic. I read the book when I was pregnant and it explains how gas and colic are different things and most of the time unrelated. Colic is brain related where as gas is obviously tummy related. If your baby has colic the gas remedies usually won't help.

My son got colic almost 2 weeks in. By 5 weeks I was losing my mind. We started him on gripe water and it's made such a difference the last 2 weeks. Still fusses at night but it's more like 2 -3 hours of crying now instead of all day long.

Bicycle those legs if it might be gas! Skin on skin helps a lot too!

My son isn't colicky but is gassy. My brother was a colicky baby so my parents stressed the importance of making sure we burp our little man really well. He is currently 13 days old, drinking 3 oz every 2-3 hours, and we burp him after every ounce. Sometimes it is hard to get a burp out of him, if we make the mistake of giving up he is VERY fussy that night from a hurting tummy.

Gas drops, belly massage and probiotics. Something out of those three has worked for us. Everyone will tell you this, but it does get better with time. 6 weeks was worst for us and now at 13 weeks it almost all better.

Hope you're coping ok - it's not easy. Take breaks when you can & look after yourself!
