is it scary? i’m about too and i’m terrified!! i’m only 14 aswell!

It’s not fun going on holiday on your period, but it’s not that scary. If you’re going to go swimming, you can always wear a tampon but if you’re not comfortable with those then just stick your feet in the water or get showered down with some cold water to regulate body temp. And if anyone asks why you aren’t swimming just say “oh, I’m not really up for it right now, maybe later” 
The best choice to make is to buy your own pads/tampons or whatever you use and pack a bunch before your holiday. If you’re driving somewhere its super easy to just do that before hand. If you’re flying somewhere, ask your mom or a trusted adult to go to the local market and buy some to stay stocked up.

I went to Disney world when I was 13 and the day we got there I started. Carrying around a bag with pads and stuff, having them look in your bag at the gate, it was embarrassing! 
My mom ended up telling the guy we were fine with him going through our stuff but for my sake can a woman look through mine? He understood completely and didn’t even question it.
