That was fast!
I know they say you show a lot sooner after your first birth, but boy oh boy, I was NOT prepared for this. Admission: prior to getting pregnant with my 1st, I was underweight and due to a number of health and pregnancy circumstances gained 90 pounds. Until age 27, I weighed almost 300 pounds due to a severe autoimmune disorder and metabolic syndrome. So, now I’m still struggling with body dysmorphic disorder from being morbidly obese for so many years. I’ve been to counseling, and I have mostly good days but it’s always lurking in the back of my head. I don’t have an eating disorder, and I eat regularly and frequently. It’s psychological.
This is where I’m at today. I really need some reassurance because your mind can really make you see things in a warped way. Don’t worry I’m eating like nobody’s business this time around, and very healthy, it’s just my head doesn’t let me see that I look pregnant rather than fat. Just really need some encouragement today.
Please - no mean, or hurtful comments. I just need edification today. It takes a lot to admit this struggle, but 27 years of 300 pounds doesn’t disappear from the brain. Right now (I can’t believe I’m admitting this) I’m 206.3 and overall have lost over 30 pounds (NOT trying) due to my thyroid going nuts. I’ve never had that issue so I’m glad they figured it out before I had any massive issues.
