My lo was a bit large and had shoulder dystocia during delivery... I also had a fourth degree episiotomy. Anyone have any input/experience? I'm HORRIFIED at what could happen if it doesn't heal properly. The nurses never actually gave me any instructions, even though I asked them a few times. A nurse practitioner came in to see me the day I was discharged and was so blunt, saying that if I wasn't "proactive about this wound that I would have lifelong problems." But again when I asked for proper instructions on how to care for it.. All I got was "make sure you soak in the tub." What? Ugh! Duh! Now I'm freaking out that I'll mess something up! It's so scary. 10 days pp.
