Gender reveal party?

So are people reveal the gender at the party what do y’all do? I don’t get why people are doing gender reveal parties it’s a waste of time and money to me.

It took me nearly 12 years to carry a baby this far. After loses, heartache & just flat out time... I was so excited to share every milestone with my friends and family. It’s the first grandchild for either side of our families, and I am the only sibling able to give that to them. It was a minimal cost compared to the memories made celebrating our baby!

It’s funny to me that people complain about a party... so many people have negative things to say about gender reveal parties. But... a party is fun. What is there to complain about? Lol 🤷🏻‍♀️ We’re having a BBQ with our friends and family and doing confetti cannons. We look for any reason to get together and celebrate. We’re all excited for this baby and finding out the gender is just one exciting part.

I think they are fun. I would happily attend one for any friend. They also don’t need to be expensive. And if they are, some people have the funds to do it.

We did a cookout at the lake, everyone brought food, we hung out, swam, went fishing and lit off smoke bombs to announce its a girl! 💖  I had my step kids hold the smoke bombs so they would feel involved in their new sisters announcement, but my step daughter got scared and threw hers down 😂, so my husband picked hers up.  I was the only person who knew the gender, so it was a complete surprise to everyone, even my hubby!

Ours is going to be just close family, I think anytime you can get the family together it’s totally worth it. To me it’s priceless.

We had ours yesterday. Just had all both sides of family over which isn’t out of the ordinary for us. We live in FL and just finished our backyard pool so it was a reveal at a BBQ pool party. Families first time coming over to swim. Only expense besides our usual hosting of a get together was 4.99 two pack cannons from hobby lobby. My hubby and all his siblings have only had girls before so everyone expected a seventh girl in the family 🤗

We did one and loved it! We had smoke sticks go off on the top of our houseboat and we had a friend make a cake. We had close family and friends come, made food, and Facebook “Live” for any family and friends that don’t live close. However with that said... baby number 2 we would keep it much more simple, but will still do something fun!

I agree. I think it's a waste of money. People people too much emphasis on gender. You (and you family) are going to love the kid no matter what sex it is

I think they are really cute! I would definitely go to one but for me, my hubby and I wanted the gender to be something special for just us to share.

My sister had a gender reveal shower. It was like a normal shower. Food, gifts, and games. All the presents were gender neutral or just gift cards. Wasn’t a waste of time or money.
