Does this look like a cold sore!?

My 11 month old just woke up with this. No one with a cold sore has been around her. I'm a little worried as I've heard cold sores are bad for little ones? It doesn't seem to be bothering her.

Hard to tell...might just be a big bite or irritation. 
Thankfully, cold sores are more dangerous for newborns and they’re not so dangerous as babe gets older, but still not something you want them to have forever. 
Just watch it over the next few days, you should be able to tell as it progresses or goes away.

My oldest daughter gets them and has since she was about 18 months. 😥 
To me, that doesn’t really look like one but you will know for sure within the next couple days if it starts to bubble up and then scab over. When and if it bubbles up, that is when it’s contagious!

UPDATE: Well this was the start of hand foot and mouth. She woke up today covered in sores. Took her to emerg and sure enough....ugh
